Jomo Sono Warns Relebohile Mofokeng: “Barcelona B Will Kill Your Career!”
South African football legend Jomo Sono has strongly advised Relebohile Mofokeng to reject any move to Barcelona B, warning that it could destroy his career. Sono believes Barcelona is only focused on developing young Spanish players for their national team, and African players rarely succeed there.
“Look at history! Which African player made it big at Barcelona? None! That team is all about Spain. Their players dominate the Spanish national team because they groom them from a young age.
If Mofokeng goes there, he will sit on the bench, lose confidence, and disappear,” Sono said.
He urged Mofokeng to stay at Orlando Pirates or move to France, Belgium, or Portugal, where African players are given real chances.
