Popular South African polygamist Musa Mseleku recently took to social media to express his heartfelt gratitude to his four wives for their immense support during one of the most challenging periods of his life.

In the new season of his reality show, Uthando Nes’thembu, it was revealed that in May 2024, Mseleku was rushed to hospital and admitted to the high-care unit after falling seriously ill.

The 50-year-old shared his appreciation for his wives, saying, “Thank you to the wives for taking such good care of me in hospital. You paid a fortune for my treatment and didn’t ask for a single penny in return. I am truly humbled by your kindness. Now I know without a doubt that I am blessed to have you.”

Mseleku recounted the experience in the latest episode of the show, explaining that while driving out of his homestead, he suddenly struggled to walk and couldn’t open his eyes.

Upon arriving at the doctor’s office, he vomited and was immediately rushed to hospital. His wives were deeply concerned, as Mseleku had never been a sickly person and had never spent a night in hospital before.

His first wife, MaCele, called an urgent meeting with the other wives at the hospital.

“When we arrived, there was a moment when his eyes were rolling back. The doctor later informed us that he had suffered a minor stroke,” she recalled.

MaCele also revealed on the show that the family had medical aid, but Mseleku had decided to cancel it, believing it was an unnecessary expense. As a result, the wives had to come together and pool their resources to cover his medical bills
